Kindness is the key: A-P sixth graders start fundraiser to help fellow student

Sixth-graders at Aplington-Parkersburg have organized a fundraiser to offer a helping hand to a fellow Falcon in need.

They are making and selling keychains to help the family of River Wygle, a third grader at A-P Elementary who suffered a pediatric stroke in October.

On the night of Oct. 8, 2021, River woke from his sleep experiencing the symptoms of a pediatric stroke, which would come to affect the motor skills of his left leg and arm.
