A-P Archery ready for state
Aplington-Parkersburg Archery wants to hit the mark at this weekend’s National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) 3D and Bullseye Iowa State Tournaments in Des Moines.
The 3D and Bullseye teams from A-P High School and A-P Middle School have all qualified for the event at the 4-H Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds on March 5-6. In all, 49 archers will compete for A-P.
The top three teams in the high school and middle school divisions, as well as the top 10 individuals in each division - middle school boys, middle school girls, high school boys, etc. - will advance to the NASP US Eastern National Tournament scheduled for May 11-13 in Louisville, Kentucky. The top 100 in the nation will compete in the US Championships June 23-25 in Louisville.
The A-P High School teams are currently ranked 12th in Bullseye and 13th in 3D. The middle schoolers are 21st in both Bullseye and 3D.
