Curtain rises on “It’s a Madhouse!” March 9-10
The Aplington-Parkersburg High School Drama Department will provide family fun next week as they present “It’s a Madhouse!” on Thursday, March 9 and Friday, March 10 at the high school auditorium.
This is a new play about a man named Byron Pembroke that leaves behind one item in the house worth 84 million dollars for his family to find as an inheritance. It’s the only inheritance they could get, so it’s a race to see who finds the treasure first. While they are looking, there is a storm that forces random intruders into their house. The Pembroke family and staff get invaded by cheerleaders, ghost hunters, thespians, tourists, a TV news team, superfans of Byron’s novels, burglars, a 3 person family, and police officers. All of these intruders find out about the treasure and join in on the search, which ends with a twist. Join us to find out who ends up with the treasure.
The cast of 38 has been working hard since January and is anxious to entertain you. The director Bobbi Abbas and assistant director Kim Abbas are also excited for you to see what this group of high schoolers has done with this humorous script. So come out and support our drama department and enjoy a fun-filled evening of family entertainment.
Start time is 7:30 p.m. both nights. The cost is $5 and activity passes will be honored.
