Falcons come up short to Eagles in Dunkerton tournament finals

DUNKERTON - Three times this season, 2A ninth-ranked Aplington-Parkersburg and 1A top-ranked Ankeny Christian have met, but the most recent meeting was the most heartbreaking for the Falcons in a three-set loss at a tournament hosted by Dunkerton on Saturday. 

“This was the one I felt we battled the most from start to finish,” coach Candace Kleespies said. “We have nothing to hang their heads about from today. They gave maximum effort.”
