Annie Geraldine Allspach, 92

Annie Geraldine Allspach, age 92, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the daughter of William and Harmina (Planteur) Kampman on November 17, 1931, at home on their farm, east of Dumont, Iowa. Annie attended a country school in rural Aplington, then graduated from Aplington High School in 1950. 

On March 21, 1958, Annie was united in marriage with Donald Allspach at Bethel Reformed Church in rural Aplington. After marriage the couple made their lifelong home on Don’s family farm southeast of Parkersburg.  In April of 2023, Don and Annie moved to Shell Rock Health Care Center in Shell Rock.  

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Annie passed away at the Shell Rock Health Care Center in Shell Rock, Iowa, of natural causes. 

Annie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Donald Allspach of Parkersburg; five children, Linda (Jim) Markley of Spokane, WA, Del (Donna) Allspach of Glen Ellyn, IL, Karen (Kevin) Timmer of Sioux Center, IA, Sandy (Morry) Horstman of Urbandale, IA and Brad Allspach of Parkersburg; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, and with two on the way.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Christian Reformed Church, with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery both in Parkersburg.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, before services at the Christian Reformed Church.
