Jo Wanda (Tucker) LaVelle

Jo Wanda (Tucker) LaVelle was born on July 6, 1939, and raised on a mountaintop in Concord, Arkansas to John D. and Medrith Tucker. She passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, on October 12, 2024.

She met her husband, Wayne LaVelle, in Little Roc, Arkansas while he was serving in the Air Force. They married on November 27, 1958. Wayne passed in 2017.

Together they had 6 children. Bryan, David, Susan, Rhonda, Robert, and Maureen. They were also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

What she truly wants to be remembered for is the love she had for her family. She was proud of, and respected, all of them.

She was loved by many who called her Mom, grandma, “big grandma”, Mama Jo, and a treasured friend.

The family will have a private interment in November.
