PARKERSBURG – Families hunting for outdoor fun in Parkersburg will get a rock-solid opportunity later this month.
After the success of the Christmas-themed rock hunt earlier this winter, another hunt is set to begin after the 50 rocks are hidden on Jan. 28 in an area from the Kothe Memorial Library, north to the end of the business district on 3rd Street.
Like the previous hunt, there will be a religious focus to the hunt as the rocks will have "Jesus Loves You" painted on the rock face.
As the positive coronavirus cases in Butler County continue to rise, caution has begun to set in for Parkersburg residents. As of Tuesday morning, there have been 230 positive cases with 196 recovered county wide and 2 deaths. But because of the increase in cases, some eating establishments have quickly moved back to carry-out only as they did when the first wave of the virus hit. Ashley Holub, owner of Our Neighborhood Grill in Parkersburg, has made the switch after finding out several patrons had contracted the virus.
