250 motorcycles participate in Petersen Ride in Aplington

APLINGTON - Nearly 250 motorcyclists stopped at Stinky’s Bar and Grill in Aplington on Saturday. The group was part of the Tim Petersen Memorial Ride, and annual event to commemorate the life of Timothy Lee Petersen, a Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputy who was tragically killed in an accident in August of 2015. Petersen was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and was on his Harley Davidson at the time of his death.
